Our Work in the UK
Abdul Giash Spice Bazzar Foundation supports charities, community organisations and people facing difficult circumstances across Leicester, Leicestershire and the wider UK.
The foundation’s UK work is built around practical support, long-standing relationships and a commitment to helping people where support can make a real difference.
Its current work includes ongoing support for the Army Benevolent Fund, Age Concern Leicester Shire & Rutland, local schools and wider community food support.

Army Benevolent Fund
The foundation has raised more than £100,000 for the Army Benevolent Fund, supporting the charity’s work with soldiers, veterans and their families.
This support is ongoing and reflects the foundation’s commitment to standing alongside organisations that help people through hardship, service, transition and long-term need.
By supporting the Army Benevolent Fund, the foundation helps contribute to wider work that supports members of the Army community across the UK.
Age Concern Leicester Shire & Rutland
Since the Covid period, the foundation has provided £1,000 in monthly support to Age Concern Leicester Shire & Rutland.
This ongoing support helps the organisation continue its work with older people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
The foundation recognises the importance of supporting older people, particularly those who may be facing isolation, hardship, health challenges or reduced access to regular community support.
Schools and community food support
The foundation supports three local schools by helping provide meals for children and families in the community.
This work reflects the foundation’s wider commitment to practical help, especially where food support can reduce pressure on families and make a direct difference to everyday life.
During the Covid period, Abdul and the Spice Bazzar team also supplied food to hospital staff, churches and mosques, helping support frontline workers and local communities during a difficult and uncertain time.
